Freelance contributors/Columnists
We are open to writers, especially experts in specific topics such as waste management, climate crisis, wildlife conservation, public policy, education. Opening Alert – August 2024
Rootsnews, a community supported press (CSP) has an opening for intern (student journalist/community reporter) at Vadodara location.
Duration: 3 months
Responsibilities/work:
Report/document local stories for website and social media channels of Rootsnews. (In a month, a minimum one detailed/longform story for website and two story for social media platform of Rootsnews)
Eligibility: Applicants must meet all of the following requirements
- Willingness to explore and learn nitty-gritty of field reporting.
- Basic knowledge of social media and computer proficiency
- Commitment to put in a minimum 6 hours per week
- Motivated to interact with people in the community.
Note
- Candidate must produce consent letter from respective college/ university to work as an intern with Rootsnews.
- Intern will receive internship stipend of INR 3,000 and certificate upon successful completion of three months of internship with Rootsnews.
